Press and Communications Manager

WithU is an audio fitness app available globally on Android and iOS. We are an exciting and ambitious fitness start-up that launched to market in 2020 and has become one of the fastest-growing fitness products in the UK.

Our app delivers over 1,000 workouts, with 22 coaches, across 24 disciplines and is accessible at home, in the gym, or on the go. Whenever and wherever.

As the PR and Comms manager, you will be responsible for managing all public relations activities for both of our fitness brands. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective public relations strategies to enhance our brand's reputation, increase brand awareness, and generate positive media coverage. In addition, you will be responsible for managing non-product-related communications, events, and promotions related to our brands.

What does the role look like?

• Develop and execute public relations strategies to promote our fitness brands

• Manage all communications related to our brands, including press releases, media kits, and newsletters (internal and for shareholders)

• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts to secure positive media coverage

• Plan and execute all events and promotions related to our brands

• Develop and manage social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement

• Monitor and analyse media coverage of our brands, and provide regular reports to management

• Manage the PR budget and ensure all activities are within budget

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years experience in public relations, preferably in the fitness or wellness industry

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organisational and project management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience managing events and promotions

• Strong media relations skills and a proven track record of securing positive media coverage

• Familiarity with social media platforms and their use in public relations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This role will work closely with marketing teams at WithU and Sky as we develop a new-to-market fitness product and new brand identity. This role will be highly collaborative, working with teams across WithU and Sky, as well as our coaches and talent.

Logistics:

Hybrid role with two days in the Chiswick office to sync with required teams. You would also be responsible for building relationships outside of WithU.
